The well documented rear shock issue on the Qashqai seems to be rietcfied now, I've got a 2009 model and haven't had any problems at all. The Yeti appears solidly made like all recent Skoda's and should prove reliable. The stumbling block for me is the name for starters, OK Qashqai murders the English language, but conjures ups images of something unknown, perfect! The seating height in the Yeti is more hatchback than SUV, and the sensible looks lack a sense of adventure!
